Job summary

Alpha School is hiring for a Director of Membership and Engagement to own the region's growth through people-first referrals. You will design and run the regional gathering calendar, secure venues, recruit ambassadors, and build deep relationships with public officials and business leaders to create campus-opening opportunities.

You will host diverse events, manage alumni networks, and ensure proper CRM tracking to quantify growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building communities or relationship programs in K-12 education, membership, or a comparable network business, with measurable growth.
• Designed and run 20+ gatherings across the full range, with budget ownership.
• Opened and maintained relationships with public officials or business executives that produced concrete value.
• Disciplined CRM or relationship-tracking habit; logging relationships, first-contact attribution, follow-ups and actions.
• Willingness to live in or relocate to one of: Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, or New York City.

Responsibilities

• Designing and running the region's gathering calendar: open events, curated dinners by city and grade, and family retreats, several a month and on budget.
• Securing venues, hosts, and vendors, then hosting the room live
• Recruiting current parents as ambassadors, equipping them with true stories, and matching them to prospective families and tours
• Opening relationships with public officials and business executives, and turning them into venues, campus-opening support, and student opportunities
• Matching enrolled families into parent circles and students into mentorships, masterclasses, and real-world internships, and welcoming graduating families as alumni within 30 days
• Logging every gathering, introduction, and first-contact attribution in the CRM so "doors opened per family" is a true number
