Job summary

Merck in the United States seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director for Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension. This credentialed medical expert engages in scientific exchange, supports data generation and investigator-initiated studies, and provides balanced scientific information to external leaders and investigators across the defined US territory.

Qualifications

• Three years in biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.
• Three years clinical and/or research in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary areas or five years Medical Scientific Liaison experience.
• Strong interpersonal, networking and presentation skills.
• Deep knowledge of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary translational science and data generation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage relationships with national, regional and clinical leaders to address scientific needs.
• Conduct peer-level discussions and provide a reliable Medical Affairs contact for SLs.
• Support data generation activities for sponsor trials and IIS programs.
• Identify investigators for phase II-IV programs and provide scientific support.
• Represent Medical Affairs at scientific conferences and provide post-congress insights.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
