Job summary

DeKalb Health seeks a Lead Medical Technician/Technologist to supervise testing personnel and optimize clinic workflow. The role supports staff scheduling, test performance, and communication with management to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include ensuring calibration and proper operation of analyzers, maintaining inventory, and upholding safety and quality standards across the lab.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all testing personnel and medical assistants to ensure efficient workflow.
• Manages daily schedule with the support of the Lab Supervisor and Lab Coordinator to ensure appropriate staff is assigned to support the volume.
• Performs, verifies, and reports laboratory tests in assigned areas per policy/procedure manuals.
• Analyzes blood cells by microscopic techniques and procedures.
• Maintains operation of analyzers and other laboratory equipment (calibration, maintenance, repairs).
• Maintains laboratory supply inventory by checking stock and placing orders.
