Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent certification).
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice, outpatient, or ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines.
• IV Therapy certification preferred where permitted by state regulations.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations and document patient history in the EMR.
• Measure, document, and report vital signs and other clinical observations.
• Prepare patients and examination rooms for provider visits and assist during examinations and procedures.
• Explain provider instructions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care to patients.
