Job summary

VIPCARE is seeking a Regional Medical Assistant (MA) Float to provide combined clinical and administrative support across multiple VIPcare locations. You will prepare patients for exams, assist during visits, document care in the EMR, and help with referrals and preventive outreach.

The role requires travel within the region (approximately 85%), strong EMR proficiency, and exceptional patient care with a team-oriented approach. A CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA or equivalent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 1+ year of MA experience in a physician practice, outpatient, or ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations by collecting history and vital signs.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Document encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Administer medications and perform CLIA-waived tests as trained and allowed by state regulations.
• Coordinate with front office for scheduling, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Travel within the assigned region to provide clinical support across VIPcare locations (approximately 85%).
