Job summary

HARTING Americas seeks a Regional Mechanical Industrial Engineer to lead production technology across the Americas region. You will train, develop and ensure standards, coordinate regional engineering tasks, and support supplier qualification while driving process improvements and capacity planning.

Requires 3–5 years in engineering (electronics/cable), knowledge of milling/lathe, and familiarity with SAP and IATF16949.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in engineering in electronics/cable industry.
• Experience with milling/lathe and basic electrical/mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update the technology landscape in the region with plants.
• Own regional process technology and coordinate engineering tasks.
• Provide technical support for supplier qualification and onboarding.
• Organize local process and technology transfer/training.
• Drive process innovations and efficiency improvements across regional productions.
• Plan investments and expansion of production capacity and new technologies.

Regional Mechanical Industrial Engineering

The Regional Mechanical Industrial Engineering is responsible for the production technologies his objective is to train, develop and ensure standards are followed in the region Americas, and have an Autonomous coordination and execution of regional engineering operations tasks.

To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:

• Develop and update of the technology landscape in collaboration with the plants
• Regional process owner of specific technology
• Technical support by identification/selection/qualification for new suppliers
• Organization of local process and technology transfer/training
• Technical development of regional existing production processes in alignment with GIE
• Benchmark and best practice sharing
• Planning and realization of investments
• Planning and extension of production capacity and new technologies
• Support as 2nd level the local plant on solving complex quality and technical problems from internal or external complaints
• Active planning and implementation of process optimizations and rationalizations
• Workplace design and time management
• Preparation and execution of IE related tasks for duplication/relocation projects

Skills And Experience To Thrive In This Role

• Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of work experience in engineering in a related industry (electronics/cable).
• Extensive knowledge in milling/lathe
• Basic knowledge of electrical connectors and connector assembly.
• Basic pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical knowledge.
• SAP management.
• JIT techniques training.
• Core Tools.
• Preferably experience in the automotive industry IATF 16949.
• Customer Orientation, leadership, attention to detail and Ethics
• Good interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Sense of urgency with a focus on achieving results.
• Process innovation.
• Design and management of efficient and sustainable processes.
• Corporate environmental and social responsibility.

Compensation

• HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
• Competitive salary: $90,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
• This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
