Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Regional MDS Coordinator to lead clinical teams across multiple facilities, develop and evaluate MDS services, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes training, program reviews, and collaboration with DON, BOM, Medical Records, and Therapy to support quality care and accurate reimbursement.

Candidates must be RN-licensed in the state, hold an ADN/BSN, and have at least five years in long-term or acute care with regional MDS experience.

Qualifications

• RN license in the practicing state.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 5 years in long-term or acute health care.
• Minimum 3 years regional MDS experience across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Consults with and provides technical assistance to MDS Coordinators through visits and policy interpretation.
• Trains new MDS Coordinators on resident assessments, care plans, and documentation of MDSs.
• Ensures compliance with RAI guidelines and deadlines for assessments.
• Leads multi-facility clinical team and coordinates with Compliance Team to ensure compliant billing.
