Job summary

Phoenix Contact USA is seeking a Regional Master Data Management (MDM) Manager II to govern enterprise master data across regional and global operations. You will provide subject-matter leadership for data standards, quality controls, and governance practices that support regulatory compliance and business decisions.

The role partners with data stewards, IT, and global governance groups to drive data readiness, remediation, and alignment of regional requirements with global data strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business, or related field or equivalent.
• 5–8+ years of progressive Master Data Management, Data Governance, or related enterprise data roles.
• Advanced knowledge of MDM principles, governance frameworks, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
• Experience leading data quality initiatives across multiple systems and stakeholders.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and align regional and global data strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional execution of global MDM governance strategies, policies, standards, and SOPs.
• Partner with global teams to define and improve master data standards and stewardship processes.
• Ensure alignment of definitions, rules, and governance across enterprise systems and analytics.
• Establish enterprise data standards including attributes, naming conventions, and deduplication rules.
• Identify and resolve complex data quality issues impacting multiple systems.
• Provide governance reporting, audit support, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with architecture and IT teams to design and govern data structures and interfaces.
• Mentor data stewards and drive governance adoption across the organization.
• Support system implementations, migrations, and global rollouts with data readiness activities.
• Escalate and resolve cross-functional master data issues with stakeholders.
