Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Materials/Demand Planning leader to own material planning across purchased components and ensure alignment with demand plans. You will manage inventory, capacity planning, and warehousing to optimize flow and working capital.

You will mentor a regional team, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver on-time commitments and superior customer service.

• Proficiency in production planning software and ERP/MRP systems.

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years: Seven years of experience in production control, material management, or related.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
• Bachelors of Business Administration (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes best practices for material planning and inventory management across purchased components to meet the demand plan.
• Plans and schedules material flow to ensure warehousing and distribution of raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods; Aligns MPS with SIOP demand plan.
• Ensures correct inventory levels for raw material, WIP, and finished goods to meet business needs and working capital targets.
• Oversees capacity planning using appropriate tools and analyses for smooth production output.
• Serves as Voice of the Customer in planning, scheduling, and materials functions.
• Leads the Demand Planning Materials team using a systems and database approach to meet business needs.
• Identifies, plans, and implements cost-reduction activities while improving quality, safety, and delivery methods.
• Drives continuous improvement through change management and best practices.
• Leads and mentors the team across multiple facilities as a regional leader.
• Completes other projects as required.
