Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Material Handling Project Engineer to support new and existing sites across the US, with up to 75% travel. The role focuses on optimizing material flow, storage, and handling processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. On-site work at home-site when not traveling.

You will lead projects, evaluate equipment, develop ROI justifications, and mentor site engineers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across regional facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Material Handling Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) highly desirable.
• Minimum 4–6 years of progressive material handling engineering experience; 1–3 years in leadership/regional role.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of material handling systems across multiple sites in the assigned region.
• Analyze current material handling operations to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation.
• Develop business cases for capital expenditures with ROI analysis and project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply chain, and IT to align with business objectives.
• Manage material handling projects from conception to implementation within budget and schedule.
