Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and dynamic marketer to join our Resources Business Group Marketing Leadership team in the South-Central US.

You’ll drive strategic marketing initiatives to grow our regional book of business, collaborating with regional leaders, operations, and leadership to craft client engagement and relationship plans, while leading pursuit teams on large opportunities. You will mentor RBG proposal managers and marketing coordinators to meet rising demands, align with HDR’s

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
• Self-starter with a history of completing projects with limited oversight.
• Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry’s standard approach to procurement of professional services.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign.
• Ability and desire to travel and engage with others in-person.
• Demonstrated experience in winning high-value contracts in the A/E/C industry.
• Demonstrated experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Retain, develop and supervise proposal managers and marketing coordinators, as assigned.
• Manage workload demands of proposal managers and marketing coordinators.
• Lead pursuit teams in creating and implementing effective win strategies, project capture planning, and persuasive proposal and interview materials for key regional pursuits.
• Engage the appropriate marketing services, operational, and technical resources in pursuit teams.
• Partner with RBG BDLs to identify current and future business development and marketing needs, and drive resulting strategies.
• Lead quality reviews of proposal and interview materials.
• Coach interview teams to be effective at delivering key messages during interview presentations.
• Ensure the go/no-go decision process is applied in accordance with HDR’s Matrix of Authority.
• Train and mentor employees on business development and marketing best practices.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the market trends and drivers impacting our clients.
