Gatik is seeking a Sr. Manager, Market Operations in Phoenix to lead end-to-end market operations for the assigned region.

You will head local fleet performance, depot logistics, safety compliance, and driver management while guiding strategic growth and on-site execution of autonomous freight routes. This hybrid leadership role sits onsite at the Phoenix office and requires coordinating with R&D, engineering, and vendor partners to ensure reliable, safe, and scalable operations in the North

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of operational leadership in freight logistics, depot operations, commercial fleet management, autonomous transportation, or high-velocity logistics hubs.
• Proven track record directly managing multi-disciplinary teams (fleet, safety, customer service, field technicians, shift supervisors).
• Deep expertise in middle-mile/last-mile freight flows, yard management systems, dock staging, and fleet fueling infrastructure.
• Solid mechanical understanding of commercial vehicle systems with comfort operating in an R&D/technology environment.
• Hands-on experience negotiating vendor SLAs and managing regional maintenance providers; holding suppliers accountable.
• Hands-on operational grit with a willingness to resolve real-time field disruptions on-site at local depots.
• Strong business acumen linking daily depot execution to commercial growth, vendor costs, and market profitability.
• Data-driven mindset skilled at using KPIs and diagnostic metrics to identify root causes and implement lasting fixes.
• Excellent communication and leadership presence to represent Gatik to enterprise clients, municipal officials, and local workforces.

Responsibilities

• Depot, Freight & Yard Logistics: Oversee daily facility operations, layouts, yard traffic, and safety; manage schedules to meet SLAs and optimize vehicle turnaround to minimize yard dwell time.
• Fleet Maintenance & R&D Integration: Oversee vehicle maintenance, major repairs, lifecycle management, and vendor relations; coordinate field testing and software/hardware upgrades with R&D teams.
• Driver Workforce & Shift Leadership: Recruit, onboard, schedule, and manage performance of safety drivers and yard technicians; enforce shift handovers and compliance.
• Safety, Compliance & Risk Management: Enforce Safety Management System; ensure DOT/FMCSA/IFTA compliance; coordinate incident response and regulatory reporting.
• Market Expansion & Scalable Growth: Execute market launch playbook, set up depots and expansion routes; engage with authorities and partners to scale routes without headcount growth.
