Primary Responsibilities

  1. Manage Service Center HR Managers and HR Supervisors to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  2. Guide daily employee decisions, promoting behaviors aligned with OD’s core values and service standards.
  3. Oversee the In-depth Reviews process and collaborate with management on action plans.
  4. Assist Regional VPs with succession planning for leadership roles.
  5. Monitor employee/labor relations to maintain a union-free environment, ensuring effective communication.
  6. Develop training materials and lead webinars at the corporate and field levels.
  7. Stay updated via the company's internal employee relations website.
  8. Train HR staff across Service Centers nationwide.
  9. Research and recommend web-based and live training courses for OD.
  10. Prepare and distribute reports and data company-wide.
  11. Support benefits, leave of absence, and compensation programs.
  12. Ensure compliance with employment legislation/regulations.
  13. Identify HR issues and recommend improvements aligned with corporate goals.
  14. Provide leadership and counsel on HR decisions and act as a liaison between Corporate HR and Regional Operations.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years as an HR Manager or generalist.
  • Knowledge of employment laws at all levels.
  • Experience supporting multi-state operations.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Detail-oriented with accuracy in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in non-union settings and union avoidance tactics.
  • Experience with transportation industry labor relations and DOT regulations preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Compensation Range:

The salary range is based on the company's good faith estimate at posting. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, market conditions, education, and skills.

($104,408 - $130,511)

Working Days & Shift:

Hours and days to be determined, subject to change based on business needs.
