Job summary

Avanath Capital is seeking a Regional Manager to oversee a significant real estate portfolio across communities. The role emphasizes leadership, strategic oversight, and enhancing resident experiences while promoting ethical rental practices.

The incumbent will drive operating budgets, capital improvements, and program delivery, traveling regionally to support teams and ensure consistent, quality operations across sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a community management position.
• 7+ years in multifamily experience; affordable housing preferred.
• Lease Up / New Development experience where required.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with property management systems.
• Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit/Bond/conventional qualifications preferred.
• Frequent travel within the region is required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with residents, executives, vendors, and investor contacts.
• Ability to multitask under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing the region's operating budgets.
• Prepare monthly operating statements and variance analysis.
• Maximize portfolio performance through strategic plans and initiatives.
• Oversee rent collections and accounts payable across sites.
• Visit communities 3–4 times per week to ensure quality operations.
• Lead and coach site teams, providing clear feedback and direction.
• Ensure compliance with PM rules, regulations, and guidelines.
