Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Regional Manager to lead a significant real estate portfolio, driving operational excellence, lease-up, and capital improvements across communities. This role supports brand reputation and delivers outstanding service to residents and teams.

You will manage budgets, ensure compliance, visit sites 3-4 times weekly, and develop staff while collaborating with back-office functions. Travel regionally is required and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a community management position.
• 7+ years in multifamily housing (affordable housing preferred).
• Lease Up / New Development experience.
• Intermediate MS Office, property management systems, Internet, and email skills.
• Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit/Bond/conventional qualifications preferred.
• Frequent regional travel is required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing the region's operational budgets and monthly statements.
• Prepare and review budgets, variances, and cash flow.
• Maximize portfolio performance through strategic planning.
• Visit each community 3–4 times per week.
• Manage up to 10 sites and supervise diverse staff.
• Coach leaders and provide clear direction and staffing decisions.
• Coordinate with back-office functions (compliance, finance, HR).
• Address resident concerns and ensure service excellence.
