Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Regional Manager to oversee a broad real estate portfolio, driving excellence in operations, financial performance, and resident service across multiple communities.

The role requires guiding teams, maintaining budgets, and advancing capital projects while promoting ethics and fairness in rental practices. A strong focus on training and collaboration will support the organization’s goals and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a community management position.
• 7+ years in multifamily experience; affordable housing experience preferred.
• Lease Up / New Development experience as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with property management systems.
• Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit/Bond/conventional qualifications.
• Frequent regional travel required.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing the region’s operational budgets and review monthly statements.
• Produce reports and monthly financials in line with operational protocol.
• Maximize portfolio performance through strategic plans and cost control.
• Oversee large capital projects and coordinate between departments.
• Manage rent collections, compliance, and vendor relationships to ensure smooth operations.
