Job summary

Lakeshore Landscaping, a PE-backed landscaping platform serving the Twin Cities, is seeking a Regional Manager to lead profitable growth and manage P&L for assigned locations. You will supervise branch managers, drive strategic initiatives, and coordinate with acquisitions to scale operations while preserving safety and service excellence.

You will build budgets, forecast KPI-driven results, and ensure alignment with Lakeshore’s standards, partnering with leadership to optimize performance

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of landscaping management experience.
  • Experience in managing P&L and ability to read financial statements/reports.
  • Degree in horticulture or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read complex customer RFPs and commercial contracts for accurate bids.
  • Proficient in Aspire and related technology platforms.
  • Skilled in management and leadership.
  • Proven history of installing hardscaping and landscaping projects with profitability targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with change leadership.
  • Proficient in MS Office and landscaping costing/estimating packages.
  • Experience using technology to manage job costing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable revenue growth in assigned markets.
  • Visit branch and customer locations regularly.
  • Ensure alignment between branches and Lakeshore.
  • Integrate acquisitions into Lakeshore leveraging strengths.
  • Develop, drive, and manage performance of business plans and P&L.
  • Provide leadership and support on engagement, safety, and development.
  • Lead Lean initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Allocate resources across the region and manage equipment.
  • Manage and deliver requirements of customer contracts.
  • Hold weekly financial calls with branch managers.
  • Develop annual budgets and monthly KPI forecasts.
  • Create and achieve new sales goals for branches.
  • Ensure asset care and enforce policies.

Job description

Lakeshore Landscaping is a PE-backed, landscape maintenance platform serving residential and commercial customers across the greater Minneapolis metro area. Backed by Talus Group Holdings, the company is positioned for growth through M&A-driven expansion. The business operates with the discipline and reporting standards of a professionally managed portfolio company, and the Controller will play a central role in sustaining that standard as the platform scales.

The Regional Manager is responsible for profitable growth, management, and performance of the P&L of assigned business locations in the Twin Cities. This role will provide strong leadership and build business capabilities while cultivating relationships with key strategic customers in the market. The Regional Manager is accountable for delivering the market budget and plan. This role will report directly to Lakeshore’s COO and directly supervise area Branch Managers, Administrators and other regional team members. You will be expected to operate within Lakeshore’s excellence standards, particularly in safety, employee leadership, service quality, and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure branch managers and branch teams understand and execute a strategy that enhances the brand and drives profitable revenue growth in assigned markets
  • Visit branch and customer locations on a regular basis
  • Ensure alignment and accountability between the Business Branches and Lakeshore
  • Integrate new acquisitions into Lakeshore while leveraging their specific strengths
  • Develop, drive, and manage the performance of effective business plans and the P&Ls in your Region
  • Provide leadership and support to each branch location with respect to employee engagement, employee performance, safety, compliance, corporate alignment, talent selection, and development
  • Ensure Continuous Improvement through participation in and leading Lean initiatives
  • Ensure resources (tools, talent, and equipment) are effectively allocated and deployed across the Region through an effective equipment management process
  • Effectively manage and deliver requirements of customer contracts
  • Build innovation and efficiencies in Business capabilities
  • Hold weekly financial calls with branch managers (MFP) to gauge monthly progress
  • Provide monthly forecasts of key KPI’s as requested
  • Develop annual budgets
  • Create and ensure new sales goals for branches
  • Ensure proper use and care of branch location’s assets
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures as issued by Lakeshore
  • Hold Key Performance meetings with direct reports
  • Achieve management operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Prepares and completes action plans; identifies trends and determines system improvements
  • Implements and upholds production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards
Qualifications

  • Ability to read complex customer Request-for-Proposals as well as commercial contracts to provide accurate bids
  • Be proficient in Aspire and related technology platforms to fully leverage their capabilities and be a resource for others
  • Skilled in management and leadership
  • Proven history of installing hardscaping and landscaping projects according to customer needs while achieving profitability targets
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with proven success driving organizational change
  • Proficient in technology (MS Office and landscaping costing/estimating packages)
  • Experience in using technology to manage job costing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while operating with a high sense of urgency.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000
