Job summary

NewCold in Atlanta seeks a Regional Maintenance Technician to drive asset performance and maintenance planning across sites. You will support new facilities and provide hands-on site maintenance to ensure reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in industrial maintenance, strong conveyor and crane knowledge, and a proven ability to lead, train, and improve maintenance processes.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 7 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Solid crane systems expertise, including inspection, maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience with TGW, MIAS, Danbach, or similar automation systems.
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and training maintenance technicians.
  • Ability to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize work, and support equipment reliability.
  • Commitment to safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive improved technical capability, asset performance, repair and maintenance planning.
  • Support new facilities to begin operations and provide hands-on site maintenance.
  • Align site maintenance with operational strategy and KPI reporting.
  • Train and coach technicians; implement and assess maintenance processes.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to share best practices and drive reliability improvements.
  • Work with QESH to ensure safety procedures and policies are followed.
  • Analyze failures, perform cost-based decisions, and pursue improvement opportunities.
  • Travel 50–70% as required.

Your role as a Regional Maintenance Technician
Key responsibilities

Position Overview

We are searching for a Regional Maintenance Technician to actively drive improved technical capability, asset performance, repair and maintenance planning, training and execution to support safe and efficient Operations. This role will serve as a bridge to ensure new NewCold facilities have the appropriate support to begin Operations as well as providing hands on existing Site support to ensure maintenance requirements are being met and continuous improvement efforts are ongoing.

  • Demonstrates commitment to regional success by engaging new and existing Site Maintenance teams to align support for Operation and Maintenance Excellence according to strategy.
  • Partners with Site Leadership to ensure Site Maintenance is developed and maintained according to ongoing Repairs and PM schedules, creates stop gap process to correct any deficiencies and ensures adherence to all standard work processes. Provides feedback and supporting documentation to update Site Managers on KPI's.
  • Participates in the implementation of shared maintenance best practices/lessons learned related to equipment and technical ownership, maintenance standards, and technical training of technicians as needed.
  • Works effectively with Regional Teams to develop the capability of technical teams through training, coaching, implementing and assessing the Maintenance Process to deliver world class Maintenance Excellence standards in Maintenance and Material Handling Equipment.
  • Partners with QESH leadership to ensure NewCold procedures, policies, and safety rules are in place and being adhered to.
  • Demonstrates the Technical/Engineering expertise to work with the sites to resolve reliability and equipment performance issues through active onsite support and mentoring.
  • Makes decisions based on feasibility studies and costing analysis from Ultimo data, identify trends, solve problems, and makes/initiates recommendations for improvements.
  • Explore and use Failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), PM Optimization & Reliability centered maintenance (RCM) methodology
  • Work across sites to analyze and prioritize opportunities.
  • Travel will fluctuate, currently 50%-70%.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Commitment to safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education/Certification
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
