Job summary

NewCold is seeking a Regional Maintenance Technician to drive asset performance and maintenance planning across its regional sites in the United States. This role requires hands-on leadership, troubleshooting, and collaboration with site leadership to optimize Repairs and PM schedules.

You will mentor maintenance technicians, coordinate activities, and uphold safety standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• > 4 to 7 years as a Maintenance Technician in industrial/manufacturing/automated warehouse environments.
• - Strong knowledge of conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment.
• - Mechanical expertise in crane systems including inspection, maintenance and repair.
• - Experience with TGW, MIAS, Danbach or similar automation systems preferred.
• - Proven experience leading, mentoring and training maintenance technicians.
• - Ability to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize work and support equipment reliability.
• - Commitment to safety, preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• - Partner with Site Leadership to develop and maintain maintenance schedules and standard work; provide KPI updates.
• - Participate in implementing shared maintenance best practices and training of technicians.
• - Develop technical capabilities across regions through coaching and process improvements.
• - Ensure QESH procedures and safety rules are followed at sites.
• - Resolve reliability and equipment performance issues with onsite mentoring and support.
• - Use data (Ultimo) to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• - Travel 50-70% and perform other duties as assigned.

Your role as a Regional Maintenance Technician

Key responsibilities:

Position Overview
We are searching for a Regional Maintenance Technician to actively drive improved technical capability,
asset performance, repair and maintenance planning, training and execution to support safe and efficient Operations. This role will serve as a bridge to ensure new NewCold facilities have the appropriate support to begin Operations as well as providing hands on existing Site support to ensure maintenance requirements are being met and continuous improvement efforts are ongoing.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Demonstrates commitment to regional success by engaging new and existing Site Maintenance teams to align support for Operation and Maintenance Excellence according to strategy.
• Partners with Site Leadership to ensure Site Maintenance is developed and maintained according to ongoing Repairs and PM schedules, creates stop gap process to correct any deficiencies and ensures adherence to all standard work processes. Provides feedback and supporting documentation to update Site Managers on KPI’s.
• Participates in the implementation of shared maintenance best practices/lessons learned related to equipment and technical ownership, maintenance standards, and technical training of technicians as needed.
• Works effectively with Regional Teams to develop the capability of technical teams through training, coaching, implementing and assessing the Maintenance Process to deliver world class Maintenance Excellence standards in Maintenance and Material Handling Equipment.
• Partners with QESH leadership to ensure NewCold procedures, policies, and safety rules are in place and being adhered to.
• Demonstrates the Technical/Engineering expertise to work with the sites to resolve reliability and equipment performance issues through active onsite support and mentoring.
• Makes decisions based on feasibility studies and costing analysis from Ultimo data, identify trends, solve problems, and makes/initiates recommendations for improvements.
• Explore and use Failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), PM Optimization & Reliability centered maintenance (RCM) methodology
• Work across sites to analyze and prioritize opportunities.
• Travel will fluctuate, currently 50%-70%.
• Other duties as assigned.
