Job summary

Dominium is seeking a Regional Maintenance Specialist to support maintenance operations across a diverse portfolio. You will develop preventive maintenance plans, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure safety standards are met while partnering with development, construction, and site teams to enable operational readiness.

The role involves hands-on project work, inspections, and training coordination to standardize practices across sites and ensure smooth transitions to property

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferred.
• Five to seven years progressively responsible maintenance experience.
• Experience with multiple building types including mid-rise, high-rise, town homes, etc.
• High level of proficiency with all HVAC system types.
• Demonstrated proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repair.
• REAC or HUD experience.
• Ability to communicate in English clearly with others orally and in writing; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to work independently from the corporate office for extended periods of time when needed.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to drive and insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Takes a hands-on approach to maintenance projects that would typically be outsourced, reducing repair and maintenance expenses.
• Assists in creating and scheduling preventive maintenance plans for each property.
• Reviews service requests and recurring work orders to identify opportunities for expense savings.
• Identifies training needs for site maintenance personnel and recommends training to the RMM.
• Promotes a safe working environment by adhering to the Dominium Safety Program.
• Conducts regular inspections of common areas and market-ready units.
• Completes and maintains biannual or as-needed site inspection forms.
• Assists in standardizing maintenance shops, supply inventories, and PPE across sites.
• Provides maintenance support for new property acquisitions and oversees integration.
• Participates in ownership walks to identify maintenance considerations during development and turnover.
