Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; other combinations of experience and education may meet requirements.
• Three years of experience in facility maintenance or more preferred.
• Must be computer literate in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Identify maintenance requirements and costs by coordinating with management, production personnel, tradesmen and technicians.
• Schedule and assign employees; negotiate and hire contractors; follow up on work results.
• Manage repair and maintenance operation by determining work priorities, scheduling, repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment.
• Ensure repairs are performed cost effectively by examining records, reports, operating practices and other documentation.
• Controls expenses by gathering and submitting budget information; scheduling expenditures; monitoring variances; implementing corrective actions.
• Increases employees’ effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training; communicates job expectations, values, strategies and objectives; coaches, counsels and disciplines employees.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.
• Completes operational requirements by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving problems; maintaining reference manuals; implementing and enforcing new procedures.
• Maintains and develops professional knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
