Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction’s Coastal Region Maintenance Team is seeking a Regional Maintenance Carpenter (Carpenter II) to perform journeyman carpentry work on building structures and systems in Greenville, NC.

The role requires reading blueprints, using carpentry tools safely, and managing tasks independently. This full-time position offers state benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule with potential weekend work and overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level wood and/or metal carpentry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans.
• Ability to operate and maintain construction tools safely and effectively.
• Capable of independently managing work assignments from a supervisor.
