Job summary

JDRF Electromag Engineering Inc. in Chicago, IL, seeks a Regional Sales Manager for the Central U.S. to drive specification, quotation, installation support, and deployment of Autonomy Lighting in commercial buildings.

You will train agents, manage pipelines, collaborate with contractors, consultants, and OEMs, and travel 30–50% to grow market share while delivering technical product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university; higher education or industry certifications are assets.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the lighting industry with direct experience in lighting controls.
• Proven experience managing a sales territory and developing customer relationships in commercial construction or electrical industry.
• Strong understanding of the electrical distribution channel including contractors, distributors, engineers, and end users.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and ability to work from electrical drawings and project specifications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (approximately 30-50%).
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Sales agent network — train and equip independent agents and manufacturers' representatives to represent the technology.
• Specification development — visit designers and consultants to secure system specification.
• Fixture company enablement — onboard OEMs with product integration guidance and training.
• Pipeline management — maintain opportunity records, forecasts, and pipeline reviews.
• Territory development — build regional plans to grow specification share and OEM adoption.
• Revenue delivery — actively manage opportunities and meet revenue targets.
• Training and demonstrations — conduct in-person and remote customer training and product demos.
• Industry presence — represent the company at events and trade shows.
