Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Life Wholesaler to drive life insurance solutions through brokerage partners in a Mid-Atlantic territory. This role emphasizes consultative sales, partner relationship management, and in-depth product knowledge.

The position requires licenses (FINRA Series 6/7, Series 63, Life/Annuity) and 1–3 years of wholesaling experience, with a preference for NJ/VA residency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, communications or liberal arts preferred.
• FINRA Series 6 or 7, Series 63, State Life/Annuity licenses required; CLU/ChFC/CFP/ASPPA/CLTC preferred.
• 1–3 years of internal and 1–3 years of external wholesaling experience in financial services products.
• Strong knowledge of financial products, life insurance, and related regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Manage key distribution partner relationships across an assigned territory.
• Provide support and expertise via meetings, webinars, virtual meetings, and social media.
• Apply a consultative approach to identify customer needs and propose suitable life insurance solutions.
• Monitor partner needs and coordinate marketing strategy and product questions.
• Develop a sales plan to rotate activities and touchpoints to grow and sustain partner relationships.
• Analyze data from multiple sources and use tools for multi-touch outreach (in person, social, digital, calls, emails).
• Manage opportunities, trials, and applications within territory.
• Conduct training on product concepts, compliance, licensing, and sales practices.
• Provide weekly activity updates to sales management.
• Contribute input on products and services to meet partner and customer needs.
