Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Protection & Control Engineer to provide technical leadership within our Power and Energy practice. The role combines advanced expertise with leading, developing, and growing a team of engineering professionals.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical authority for protection and control systems, lead complex substation projects, mentor staff, support business growth, and oversee performance and resource planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required or equivalent.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
15 years of related experience and travel flexibility may be required.

Responsibilities

Lead design, delivery, and technical execution of high-voltage substation projects.
Mentor engineers and designers to support technical excellence and career growth.
Support business development, client relationship management, and project performance.
Coordinate resource planning and ensure quality, safety, and standards.
