Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment represents a leading engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Regional Leader to drive growth across the Dallas–Fort Worth market. The role blends technical leadership with project oversight, team development and client management to expand the Water/Wastewater practice across North Texas.

The ideal candidate has a PE license in Texas (or reciprocity), 12+ years of municipal water/wastewater experience, and a proven track record

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental or related Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or reciprocity.
• 12+ years' municipal Water/Wastewater experience.
• Strong knowledge of Dallas-Fort Worth/North Texas Water market.
• Experience leading engineering teams and complex infrastructure projects.
• Relationships with municipal and utility clients desirable.
• Strong PM and commercial experience.
• Ability to support business development and win new work.
• Excellent leadership, communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a growing Water/Wastewater engineering team across the DFW region.
• Oversee delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Maintain and expand relationships with municipalities, utilities and water authorities across North Texas.
• Identify new project opportunities and lead strategic pursuits, proposals and client development activities.
• Provide senior oversight across project scope, budgets, schedules, technical delivery and profitability.
• Support projects across treatment, conveyance, collection and distribution infrastructure.
• Recruit, mentor and develop engineers and Project Managers as the team expands.
• Work with regional and national Water leadership to develop long-term growth strategies.
• Provide technical and commercial leadership across key projects and client accounts.
• Represent the business within the local Water/Wastewater market and support regional growth.

I'm representing a leading engineering consultancy that's looking to appoint an experienced Water/Wastewater Regional Leader to help lead and grow their presence across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. This position will combine technical and project leadership with team development, client management and business growth, taking responsibility for the continued expansion of the Water/Wastewater practice across North Texas.

Job Specifications:

• Lead and develop a growing Water/Wastewater engineering team across the DFW region
• Oversee the successful delivery of major municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Maintain and expand relationships with municipalities, utilities and water authorities across North Texas
• Identify new project opportunities and lead strategic pursuits, proposals and client development activities
• Provide senior oversight across project scope, budgets, schedules, technical delivery and profitability
• Support projects across treatment, conveyance, collection and distribution infrastructure
• Recruit, mentor and develop engineers and Project Managers as the team continues to expand
• Work closely with regional and national Water leadership to develop and execute long-term growth strategies

Key Requirements:

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental or related Engineering discipline
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, or ability to obtain through reciprocity
• 12+ years' experience within municipal Water/Wastewater engineering
• Strong understanding of the Dallas-Fort Worth / North Texas Water market
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and complex infrastructure projects
• Established relationships with municipal and utility clients highly desirable
• Strong project management and commercial experience
• Demonstrated ability to support business development and win new work
• Excellent leadership, communication and client-facing skills
