Job summary

MercyOne Central Iowa seeks a leader to oversee regional language services, ensuring timely access via in-person, video remote (VRI), and telephonic interpretation across facilities. You will coordinate scheduling, manage vendor relationships, and drive standardized workflows to improve equity and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in language services, patient experience, or related field.
• Experience with video remote interpreting (VRI) and telephonic platforms.
• Experience with EHR systems such as Epic preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws affecting language access.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional language services delivery (in-person, VRI, telephonic).
• Coordinate interpreter scheduling and vendor relationships.
• Develop and optimize standardized workflows for language services.
• Ensure compliance with Title VI, 1557, CLAS standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Lead corrective action plans for compliance gaps and grievances.
• Collaborate with Patient Experience, Clinical Leadership, and Compliance teams.
• Deliver staff training on interpreter services and competency best practices.
• Track KPIs and provide leadership with reports and strategic recommendations.
