Job summary

Ducks Unlimited, Inc. in Dexter, MI (with an additional office in O’Fallon, IL) seeks a Regional Lands Specialist II to support the Great Lakes/Atlantic regional land protection program through fee-title acquisitions and conservation easements.

You will collaborate with state and local agencies, landowners, and partners, travel within GLAR states, and report to the Regional Lands Manager. Strong project management and grant-writing abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Candidate must understand real property acquisition and management and land trust alliance standards and practices.
• Experience in conservation planning and reporting to boards and funders is desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fee land acquisitions and conservation easement transactions.
• Track tax and lease payments and steward easement properties.
• Coordinate due diligence and legal documentation for land protection activities.
• Support regional lands program database and reporting to staff and partners.
• Collaborate with development to obtain funding for land costs and easement endowments.
