Qualifications

• Requires completion of four years of college with coursework in business or public administration.
• Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in labor relations.
• Preferred: four years of professional experience managing or performing labor relations functions in a public or business organization.
• Preferred: three years interpreting and implementing collective bargaining agreements in a public or business organization.
• Preferred: three years overseeing the implementation and application of human resources policies and procedures in a public or business organization.
• Preferred: three years supervising professional human resources staff.
• Completion of a bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or related field.
• Two years of professional experience conducting training in human resources.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Central/Southern Region Labor Relations Administrator.
• Provides information and technical assistance to management staff regarding discipline measures, grievances, evaluations, contracts, and CMS rules and procedures.
• Conducts third level grievance hearings.
• Serves as the Department’s representative at various labor relations meetings.
• Maintains and revises policies, procedures, handbooks, manuals, and management training curriculum.
• Performs other duties within the scope of the above duties.
