Job summary

Illinois Department of Children and Family Services seeks a Central/Southern Labor Relations Administrator to lead regional labor relations operations, advise management on discipline and contract interpretations, and oversee grievances and policy updates.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of four years of college with coursework in business or public administration.
• Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in labor relations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Central/Southern Region Labor Relations Administrator.
• Provide information and technical assistance on discipline, grievances, evaluations, contracts, and CMS rules.
• Conduct third-level grievance hearings.
• Act as full line supervisor.
• Review procurement contracts to interpret work performed within PBCs.
• Represent the Department in labor relations meetings and initiatives.
• Maintain and revise policies, procedures, manuals, and training curricula.
