Job summary

The Employee Connect is recruiting a Senior Director of Laboratory Operations Management to lead regional clinical laboratory services, overseeing testing quality, turnaround, regulatory readiness, and financial performance across multiple sites.

This executive will drive modernization while keeping patient care at the center of decision-making, partnering with physicians and hospital leaders to meet service needs and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related field.
• Progressive clinical laboratory leadership across multiple sites.
• Senior management experience across several laboratory sites or departments.
• Deep knowledge of CAP, CLIA, and Joint Commission standards.
• Strong financial management, budgeting, and operational planning skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Atlanta on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Direct regional clinical laboratory operations across multiple sites and service lines.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, and state laboratory regulations.
• Set quality, turnaround time, and productivity goals and hold teams accountable.
• Manage operating and capital budgets, staffing models, and vendor contracts.
• Lead laboratory automation, information system, and process improvement initiatives.
• Develop managers and supervisors through coaching and succession planning.
• Partner with physicians and hospital leaders on test utilization and service needs.
