Job summary

Skydio is seeking a Key Account Director, Majors, Public Safety to lead a regional team selling to large public safety agencies. You don’t carry accounts; your success is your team’s success, measured by pipeline, deals, and forecasts.

You’ll recruit, coach, and retain top performers while collaborating with Channel, Sales Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, and Government Relations. You’ll set high standards, model AI-powered selling, and win in a competitive market against incumbents

Qualifications

3+ years leading quota-carrying sellers as a first-line manager, with year-by-year attainment.
4+ years in enterprise software, hardware, or SaaS sales with complex deals.
Proven success recruiting sellers with a structured process and measurable outcomes.
Coaching approach with documented examples of people improving under your leadership.
Strong retention history and ability to advance top performers.
Experience selling to SLED customers or leading teams into public sector accounts.
Fluency selling with channel partners and daily use of AI in work tasks.
Executive presence with integrity under quota pressure and travel readiness.

Responsibilities

Recruit for your region: build a steady pipeline, run a fast process, and close candidates you want.
Coach the team: 1:1s, field participation, and feedback to improve performance.
Retain top talent: set clear expectations, development paths, and recognition.
Run the region: manage pipeline, forecast accuracy, and territory strategy.
Partner with Channel on strategy, deals, and joint planning.
Represent customer insight and product gaps to Marketing and Product.
