TEC Services in Edmonds, WA is seeking a Janitorial Area Manager to oversee cleaning operations across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety programs, and contract requirements. This role emphasizes inspections, coaching, and customer communication.

You will lead crews, manage schedules, monitor KPIs, and partner with HR for staffing, while maintaining safety and reporting via Salesforce Field Service.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in cleaning or facilities services.
• Experience in floor care and janitorial management.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts with flexible scheduling.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a monthly visit schedule for locations with proactive customer communication.
• Coordinate and supervise wet work with Store Managers and service partners; secure sign-offs on time.
• Report key issues to Account Director promptly.
• Conduct weekly QA inspections of stores and provide reports.
• Monitor IVR reports and address field issues across locations.
• Submit daily/weekly reports on visits, inspections, and tasks.
• Identify deficiencies and implement timely corrective actions.
• Provide direction to cleaning crews and monitor performance.
• Develop backup staffing plans; collaborate with HR on performance issues.
• Step in as a cleaner when needed.
• Conduct routine safety observations and hazard assessments; document investigations.
• Promote a safety culture; ensure records in Safety Management System.
• Coordinate with Operations and Safety to reduce injuries and ensure compliance.
• Oversee floor care projects; obtain customer sign-off when completed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and track assets.
• Maintain ongoing communication with store managers, partners, and leadership.
