Job summary

South Carolina Department of Transportation in District 4 and District 5 seeks a Regional Information Consultant (IRC) Manager to oversee the deployment, maintenance, and support of IT devices across Cherokee, Chester, Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, and surrounding counties.

The role supervises IRC staff, coordinates with the Lead IRC and IT Security Manager, ensures timely installations and repairs, and enforces policy across all IT equipment and services.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and 3.5 years of experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems.
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises IRC subordinates, including training, scheduling, and prioritizing daily work.
• Ensures timely and orderly completion of installations, repairs, upgrades, and related tasks per policy.
• Oversees installation, maintenance, and support of IT equipment across the region.
• Coordinates with Lead IRC and IT Security Manager to align SOC events with standards.
• Interviews and selects personnel for IRC positions; evaluates performance; handles related duties.
