Job summary

The Vermont State Colleges System (VSCS) seeks Regional Coaches to mentor and observe beginning teachers across Vermont. Responsibilities include conducting classroom observations, coaching, and reflective meetings, plus delivering post-observation feedback and participating in trainings.

This role emphasizes equity, collaboration, and data-informed instruction, with a focus on aligning with Vermont’s teaching standards and CTTEP program goals.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have at least four years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably at a CTE center.
• Evidence of CTE Teaching Endorsement is preferred but not required.
• Experience as an instructional mentor or coach is desirable.
• A BA Degree in Education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 6 classroom observations and post-observation reflection meetings with candidates each year.
• Facilitate and attend two field observations with beginning teachers and conduct post-observation reflection meetings.
• Conduct meetings with candidates on topics assigned by CTTEP Director General.
• Communicate with candidates through impromptu “Just in Time” meetings and attend trainings.
• Attend possible in person and/or virtual trainings.
