Avera is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure the safe, effective use of medications across multiple Iowa facilities, including Sioux Center Health and affiliated sites. You will dispense prescriptions, advise clinicians on drug therapies, monitor patient regimens, and educate patients about drug use.

The role involves supervising pharmacy staff, coordinating with providers, and staying compliant with health-system policies and regulations. Licensure in the state is required.

Formación

• The individual must be able to work the hours specified and perform essential job functions including visual acuity and communication.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice within 30 days.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares and dispenses medications.
• Monitors medication orders for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness to ensure safe, quality care.
• Counsels patients on proper medication use and potential adverse effects.
• Mentors students, interns, technicians, and others for professional development.
• Oversees workflow among pharmacists, residents, technicians, and students to ensure efficiency.
• Maintains knowledge of professional standards, licensing laws, and organizational policies.
