Job summary

Novolex seeks a Distribution Automation Specialist to drive slotting, storage strategy, and integrated automation solutions in its distribution facilities. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and suppliers to optimize material handling and workflow end-to-end.

The role emphasizes ROI analysis, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement, with up to 25% travel. Strong analytics, communication, and leadership are essential to deliver scalable, cost-effective automation solutions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain automation, or Engineering discipline.
• 2-10 years of experience in multi-facility distribution operations with varying degrees of automation.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with a variety of individuals.
• Experienced in warehouse data analytics, high analytical ability, able to analyze and summarize data, and communicate clearly both written and verbally.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between Distribution Operations, Engineering, and suppliers to optimize material handling and automation solutions.
• Identify and validate process, system or layout changes to improve product flow and productivity.
• Act as SME on automation technologies and analyze operations and workflow.
• Ensure systems maximize use of workers, machines, materials, information, and energy.
• Analyze movement data for optimization of storage, SKU affinities, and ABC analysis.
• Work with vendors and engineering partners to build business cases for new technologies.
• Propose alternatives for process, equipment, and system design to lower costs.
• Coordinate vendors, internal resources and operations for continuous improvements.
• Provide ROI insights and ensure systems meet goals.
