Job summary

Novolex in Cincinnati seeks an Automation & Logistics Project Lead to drive distribution automation initiatives across multiple facilities. You will liaison with engineering, operations and suppliers to optimize processes, implement modern material-handling solutions and analyze data to improve flow and productivity.

Ideal candidates bring 2–10 years of distribution automation experience, strong leadership and communication, and the ability to work with vendors on ROI-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain automation, or Engineering discipline.
• 2-10 years of experience in multi-facility distribution operations with automation solutions.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experienced in warehouse data analytics and data summarization with clear communication.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between Distribution Operations, Engineering, and suppliers to drive automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations to validate process or layout changes for better productivity.
• Serve as SME on automation technologies and analyze operations and workflow.
• Ensure systems optimize use of workers, machines, materials, information and energy.
• Analyze movement data for order profiles, slotting, velocity and SKU affinities.
• Work with vendors to identify equipment, build business cases, and suggest new tech.
• Ideate alternatives for process and system design to lower costs.
• Coordinate vendors, internal resources and operations for continuous improvements.
• Maintain ROI analysis and ensure systems meet goals.
• Provide process insights affecting operating costs.
