Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC is seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineer to design and deploy warehouse layouts and automation across our contract logistics network. You will optimize put-away, picking, replenishment, slotting, and workflows using AutoCAD and data-driven ROI analysis.

Work with cross‑functional teams to evaluate solutions, build business cases, and manage deployments at new and existing stations, ensuring cost efficiency and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
• 10 years of experience in industrial engineering, business process management, operations & supply chain management, or equivalent.
• Experience in warehouse layout, engineering, and design for 3PL, e-commerce, retail distribution, manufacturing or CPG industries.
• Hands-on experience developing and implementing innovative warehouse solutions balancing cost, efficiency, and scalability.
• Expertise in designing warehouse strategies including put-away, picking, replenishment, slotting optimization, and overall workflow design to improve efficiency.
• Experience with WMS and integrating automation into workflows.
• Experience evaluating, selecting, and deploying automation such as conveyors, sortation, AGVs, robotic picking, AS/RS.
• Strong ability to analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) and ROI for warehouse strategies and automation.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics best practices to drive improvements.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Smart Sheets, Visio, Access, SQL, Power BI, etc.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client data to support solution development objectives.
• Deliver engineered resource requirements for solution pricing.
• Produce written and visual content for proposals (layout, diagrams, analytics).
• Deliver budgetary costs for material handling and automation in proposals.
• Evaluate material handling and automation solutions for feasibility in existing stations.
• Develop business case and ROI for feasible deployments.
• Recommend vendors and assist in procurement of deployments.
• Project manage deployed solutions for new and existing stations.
