Job summary

Cooper&Hunter USA / ComfortSide is seeking an experienced Regional Technical Trainer to grow our HVAC training program across the United States. This role requires direct HVAC manufacturer experience and strong ductless inverter expertise.

You will own the training program, develop courses, and deliver hands-on instruction to contractors, technicians, distributors, and internal teams, while traveling up to 70% across the East Coast and beyond.

Qualifications

• Professional experience working for an HVAC manufacturer.
• Strong technical experience with ductless inverter HVAC systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC installation, commissioning, service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of inverter-driven equipment and controls.
• Experience in technical training, field technical support, applications, service, or related HVAC technical role.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems and explain the diagnostic process to technicians.
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, practical instruction.
• Ability to travel approximately 70%.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on technical training for HVAC contractors, technicians, distributors, and internal teams.
• Conduct training focused on ductless inverter systems, including installation, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and application.
• Develop and improve technical training courses, presentations, hands-on exercises, and supporting materials.
• Evaluate existing training programs and proactively recommend improvements.
• Identify technical knowledge gaps and training needs based on field feedback.
• Collaborate with the Technical Department to develop new courses and strengthen existing programs.
• Provide technical education and product support to the distributor and contractor network.
• Conduct classroom, hands-on, virtual, and field-based technical training.
• Support distributor events, trade shows, and industry events.
• Gather feedback from technicians, contractors, and distributors and communicate insights to internal teams.
• Stay current on HVAC technologies, inverter systems, installation practices, diagnostics, and industry developments.
• Take ownership of training initiatives and identify opportunities to improve the program.
• Represent Cooper&Amp;Hunter professionally in the HVAC industry.
• Travel throughout the assigned region and nationally when required.
