Job summary

Rocketship Public Schools seeks an Associate Director, Talent to serve as strategic partner to regional and school leadership, driving organizational effectiveness, culture, and workforce planning. This role operates with high autonomy to strengthen leadership capacity, mitigate risk, and advance talent outcomes across campuses.

Located within one hour of San Jose, CA, the role is primarily remote with travel to schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including direct HRBP or HR leadership experience in a multi-site organization.
• Autonomous, strategic HR decision-making with strong influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a thought partner to regional and school leaders, translating strategy into people plans.
• Lead and coach leaders through organizational change and performance management.
• Collaborate with Recruiting to review hiring progress and provide regional insights.
• Partner with Talent Ops and Legal to ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Use data analytics to identify trends and measure HR initiatives.
