Food Lion is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to act as the primary HR resource for a multi-unit geography, delivering guidance to store managers and directors of operations while ensuring policy consistency and fair treatment of associates.

Based in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach/Chesapeake area, the role involves partnership with shared services, on-site crisis support, and handling confidential inquiries with discretion.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR within multi-unit retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to interpret policies consistently and interact with all management levels.

Responsabilités

• Provide HR guidance to store directors and managers on processes, policies and discipline; document interactions in the HR case management system.
• Advise on sensitive work situations and conflicts; document in HR systems.
• Partner with regional directors to leverage HR data and develop action plans to improve morale, productivity and retention.
• Provide on-site support for crisis management and critical incidents as needed.
• Review accommodation requests and document the interactive process in the HR case management system.
• Collaborate with Asset Protection for investigations and dispositions.
