Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an Area Human Resources Manager to oversee HR programs, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance across multiple senior living communities in a regional area. The role requires on-site presence in the assigned communities to effectively support HR needs.

The position focuses on implementing Sunrise Hiring Standards, staff engagement, and training initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate record-keeping within HR systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration or related field.
• 2+ years’ relevant experience in Human Resources, preferably in healthcare/Senior housing industry.
• Supervisory and management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management, discipline, and counseling
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Recruitment Process: partner with leadership to champion recruitment; host job fairs; post positions; screen candidates; conduct verifications.
• Team Member Onboarding: onboard and train new staff; manage personnel files; ensure system access and training.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: maintain knowledge of regulations; audit materials; promote safety and compliance.
• Training & Leadership: lead HR system trainings; drive engagement initiatives; manage performance processes; maintain records.
