Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in New Jersey Metro North – Bergen County is seeking an Area Human Resources Manager to lead recruitment, onboarding, HR compliance, staff records, and team member engagement across multiple communities. This on-site role supports Sunrise's mission and standards.

You will manage HR systems, training, performance management, and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of service excellence and employee development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration or related field.
• 2+ years’ relevant experience in Human Resources, preferably in healthcare/Senior housing industry
• Supervisory and management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management, discipline, and counseling

Responsibilities

• Lead all recruitment processes including job fairs, posting positions and interviewing candidates.
• Oversee onboarding and HRIS records, maintain personnel files and ensure accurate data entry.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, safety requirements and Sunrise policies.
• Manage unemployment and workers’ compensation claims and coordinate related activities.
