Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living seeks an Area Human Resources Manager to lead HR strategy and operations across multiple Sunrise communities in the Long Island region. This role requires regular travel between Holbrook, Smithtown, East Setauket, Dix Hills, and West Babylon to provide on-site HR partnership and support.

You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations, while maintaining HRIS/ATS, regulatory documentation, and policy training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years HR experience; senior living or healthcare experience preferred.
• Supervisory and employee relations experience; strong knowledge of employment law and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, job fairs, and hiring processes.
• Lead onboarding, orientation, and system access for new team members.
• Maintain HRIS, ATS, personnel files, and regulatory documentation.
• Manage unemployment and workers’ compensation claims.
• Serve as HR partner to department leaders on performance management.
• Lead employee relations matters and internal investigations.
