Job summary

Cardinal Senior Living is seeking a Regional Human Resources Manager to support Ohio communities with a focus on employee relations, compliance, leave management, workers’ compensation, investigations and leadership guidance.

You’ll act as the strategic HR lead for community leaders, helping them handle complex issues, understand risk, and execute actions with sound judgment across the Ohio region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
• Strong employee-relations experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of FMLA, ADA and accommodations, workers’ compensation, performance management, workplace investigations, terminations and corrective action, and federal and state employment law.
• Strong documentation and case-management discipline.
• Ability to coach and influence operational leaders.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Ohio region.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional HR leadership across multiple Ohio communities.
• Oversee employee relations, workplace investigations, corrective action, and performance management.
• Review termination decisions and high-risk employment issues.
• Manage FMLA administration and complex leave situations.
• Offer ADA and accommodation guidance; coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work.
• Ensure employment law and regulatory compliance; interpret policies consistently.
• Document and manage cases; coach leaders and escalate risk as needed.
• Collaborate with Executive Directors and regional leadership to improve decision-making and execution.
