Job summary

YQN is seeking a Regional HR Business Partner for the West Coast, based in Fontana, CA. You will partner with site leaders to drive workforce planning, employee relations, and retention across multi-site frontline operations.

You will lead investigations, coaching, and compliance with US and CA laws, while partnering with Recruiting on hiring plans and onboarding for new sites. Travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years as an HRBP.
• Experience supporting frontline workforces in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing.
• Strong employee relations and investigations experience.
• Working knowledge of US and California wage-and-hour laws.
• Strong data skills (Excel, HRIS reporting).
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

• Manage employee relations across sites: investigations, coaching managers on corrective action, and escalations.

• Track and analyze HR metrics and drive action plans.
• Drive retention and engagement programs for frontline and supervisory employees.
• Coach site managers on performance management and people leadership.
• Partner with Recruiting on hiring plans for new sites and high-volume roles; support onboarding.
• Standardize HR policies, processes, and SOPs across regional sites.
• Support compensation reviews and organizational changes.

Regional HR Business Partner – West Coast

About YQN:

YQN is a fast-growing, technology-driven international logistics platform offering FCL, LCL, air freight, trucking, customs clearance, warehousing, and more. We are expanding our U.S. warehouse and transportation network and are looking for a Regional HR Business Partner to support our West Coast operations.

About the Role:

Based in Fontana, CA, the Regional HRBP will be the strategic and hands-on HR partner for site leaders across our West Coast warehouse and transportation locations. This role drives workforce planning, employee relations, performance, compliance, and retention across a primarily frontline, multi-site workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary HR partner for regional and site leadership, aligning people strategy with operational goals.
• Lead workforce planning with Operations, including headcount, staffing models, labor cost, and seasonal peaks.
• Manage employee relations across sites: conduct and document workplace investigations, coach managers on corrective action, and resolve escalations.
• Ensure HR practices comply with federal and state employment laws (including California wage-and-hour rules), and partner with legal counsel as needed.
• Track and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, attendance, time-to-fill, and engagement; recommend and drive action plans.
• Drive retention and engagement programs for frontline and supervisory employees.
• Coach and develop site managers and supervisors on performance management, feedback, and people leadership.
• Partner with Recruiting on hiring plans for new sites and high-volume roles; support onboarding and new-site launches.
• Standardize HR policies, processes, and SOPs across sites in the region.
• Support compensation reviews, promotions, and organizational changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years as an HRBP supporting multiple sites or a region.
• Experience supporting frontline workforces in warehousing, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing.
• Strong employee relations and investigations experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. and California employment law, including wage-and-hour rules.
• Strong data skills (Excel, HRIS reporting) and the ability to turn metrics into action.
• Ability to influence and coach leaders in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Willingness to travel between sites up to 30%.
• SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR is a plus.

Work Location: On-site in Fontana, CA, with regular travel to regional sites.

Pay: $100,000 – $120,000 per year, based on experience.
