Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health in the New York/Connecticut region is seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician to ensure hospital facilities are well maintained, perform repairs and preventive maintenance, and manage in-house work orders. The role involves regional travel and coordination with painting contractors to uphold standards.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Facilities Management and at least 3 years of maintenance experience, with strong knowledge of building

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Facilities Management or a similar field preferred.
• Three years of experience in Construction or Maintenance required.
• Knowledge of construction terms, blueprints, and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and general building construction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital facilities in region and perform repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Manage maintenance work orders, schedule work, and communicate timelines.
• Oversee ceramic tile floor care program.
• Source and manage painting contractors.
• Perform medical equipment preventive maintenance and report damages.
• Inspect and document facility damages and construction variances.
• Communicate repairs and updates to managers and field leaders.
• Coordinate travel within MVH guidelines and budget.
• Some travel is required.
