Silverado is seeking a Palliative Regional Admissions Coordinator in Temecula to support admissions for hospice and palliative care patients. The role blends administrative precision with empathetic patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

You will manage data, coordinate discharges, verify insurance, and schedule staff to ensure smooth transitions into care. The position requires a high school diploma, 1+ year in customer service, and strong proficiency in Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework in business administration preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales.
• Prior hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred.
• Typing speed of 50 WPM and proficiency in Excel, Word, and basic computer tasks.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
• May be required to work outside regular hours based on patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage data entry and maintain accurate admission tracking logs.
• Coordinate hospital discharges and general admission processes.
• Overcome initial objections to hospice and palliative care services.
• Verify insurance and manage authorization processes.
• Schedule staff to meet with patients and families in a timely manner.
• Ensure intake documentation is completed per policy.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicate empathetically with patients, families, and associates.
• Remain calm and level-headed in emergencies and emotionally intense situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
