Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Highway Equipment Manager 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Three years of experience in repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engines and other heavy equipment, including two years in supervisory/administrative capacity; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance schedules and preventative care for vehicles and facilities.
• Inspect equipment to identify needed repairs or replacements.
• Coordinate operator training, testing and certification activities.
• Monitor usage and maintain records of tools and equipment.
• Prepare reports on time, progress, and equipment status.
• Lead staff, assign tasks, and guide performance development.
